Programme Philosophy
The MPhil in Management is structured to develop the capacities of students for higher-level research and business case analyses which will be applied to teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate level. The programme will assist students to gain in-depth knowledge in various areas of management, especially competitive strategy, resource utilization, and value creation in both the public and private sectors. It further equips students with the requisite theoretical background and methodological skills for successful careers at institutions of higher learning and industry, within an environment that provides rich opportunities for discourse and exchange of ideas between students, faculty, and industry leaders. The curriculum offers an interdisciplinary environment geared toward the discovery of creative ideas and the development of analytical skills critical for the effective resolution of complex contemporary management problems.
The core aim of the programme is to develop students’ research skills and capabilities to conduct rigorous academic research in Management, with a keen focus on theory and practice within national and global development contexts to enable them to lead, manage, and solve systemic organizational issues.

Dr. Freeman Christian Gborse is an accomplished Ghanaian academic and researcher currently serving as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Accounting and Finance at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
